The Toyota Prius has some haters, but the thing is this ugly car is a darn good machine to own, and the Prius Prime is the best version of it. The vehicles below are the best out there right now. There only used to be a few options when it came to plug-in hybrid cars, but now there are dozens. It gives you the silent, clean capabilities of an EV, but the long-range capabilities and ease-of-use of a gasoline engine. You get electric-only power when you want it, though usually only for short ranges, and a gasoline engine when you need it. In a plug-in hybrid, you get the best of both worlds.
